The best leaders are trusted leaders. Without trust leaders have adversaries not followers. Those they lead will engage in politics, gossip, criticism and many other poisons that destroy their teams.
Stephen M.R. Covey in his well written book entitled “The Speed of Trust” states there are four core components that make us believable to ourselves and to others. They are 1) Integrity 2) Intentions 3) Capabilities and 4) Results. You need all four to build trust and lead effectively.
