Inspirational Leadership

Once there were a group of frogs merrily hopping through the forest. They didn’t have a Frog3 care in the world until two of the frogs fell into a deep pit. All of the other frogs quickly gathered around the large pit and peered down into its deep vastness. They all begin to scratch their heads trying to come up with a way to help.

The term leader is used loosely. Leaders leave legacies of integrity, caring, love, giving back more than they took and inspiring others to do the same; they have purpose and sustaining value. Leaders leave an impact on the things that matter most. not how much money they make or worlds they conquer. John Wooden was a leader in the purest definition.

Okay, this is just plain cute. However, there are some implications for all of us who are leaders. How many of us could look ourselves in the mirror and say nothing but positive things for one minute?

With so much focus on winning at all costs in business and life in general, this video was refreshing. It says to me that most people are fundamentally good when it is all said and done. That there are more important things than the trophy and winning at all costs.

I want to start with a leader I am grateful for and then hope each of you will contribute a post about leaders that have affected you. I hope we can learn from these great leaders.
