What leader would you rather have? One who really cares, or one who doesn’t? I would assume the answer to that question is pretty obvious to most. If you ever had a leader who didn’t care you know how difficult it can be to follow.
I had just assumed a new position as Senior Manager for a Service Desk (“Help Desk”) for a major outsourcing firm. Between the existing workload and the new work that was flooding in, I felt like I was “meeting myself coming and going”.
I’ve found it amazing how a simple “thank you,” can go a long way. So can a heartfelt, “your welcome!” A few years ago, I was having lunch with my 3 year old granddaughter and her mom. She has been taught to say thank you when someone does something for you.
