Leaders are servants. My personal definition of service is putting someone else before your self – in both in thought and deed. Great leaders are always aware of what is best for others.
Leaders should create a service oriented mind set. In his famous quote John F. Kennedy said “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” Leaders should always look for what they can do to bless the lives of those they lead, which will result in doing the right thing as a leader. Decisions will be easier because even the toughest ones can be made knowing that they were made with a pure heart and intentions.
So begin asking yourself today, what can I do for those I lead? What is the best thing I can do for them today?
