I love leaders who lead by example. They are easy to follow and their lessons are so much more meaningful and impactful than leaders that just tell you what to do. Here is a great leadership story of a leader by example.
Inspiring Story of Leadership Once in a while I have the blessing of coming across something that really touches me deeply. The video I am sharing is one of those blessings. It is an absolutely inspiring story of leadership.
Is it even possible to manage your boss? Sure it is. Managing is not just about telling people what to do. Managing others should include leadership by influencing, inspiring, recognizing and providing genuine feedback. It also includes understanding the weaknesses, strengths, personality styles, goals and needs of those you manage.
It can be difficult for a functioning or dysfunctioning team to bring in a new team member. There is a period of adjustment that has to occur for both the team and the new member to the team. Teams traditionally go through four stages of team development; forming, storming, norming and performing (Tuckman, 1965).
We all have so many things that fill our day. Are we filling it with the most important things such as relationships, service and development? Or are we filling it with lots of little unimportant things that take a lot of time, but bring little value? I hope you enjoy the video.
