I just finished one of the best time management books I have ever read titled “Eat That Frog!” by Brian Tracy. Mark Twain said “Eat a live frog every morning, and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.”
We tend to put off the most difficult, tedious, less than fun things, which are often times the most important things, and spend a lot of time on tasks that are busy work, not productive work. Email is a huge culprit of busy work. The best thing we can do is the difficult, tedious, less than fun and important stuff (and I understand that sometimes they aren’t the same thing, but often times they are) first thing in the morning.
I have done this for the last few months and it has made a huge difference in my productivity. I love eating frogs! Try eating a frog; you will see that you like eating them as well.
What types of frogs do you put off eating?
